Is a full service compressed air and vacuum system
distributor, located in the Central Valley of California. We have a professional, highly qualified staff on hand
to assist you with all your equipment and service requirements. Our entire business is based on providing not only
quality products and services, but also on providing true customer satisfaction. Our facility on Jensen Avenue
as it looks today. Our History Associated Compressor & Equipment, Inc. (ACE) began operations on May 24, 1966
in a 1600 square foot rented building on Dearing Avenue. ACE was founded by Mr. Warren Thatcher after he broke
away from the Kelly Moore Paint Company. The Kelly Moore Paint Company, which had an office in Fresno, had decided
to relocate to Southern California.
While in the Fresno area, they had represented many different product lines. With their move south, a large hole
was opened for these manufacturer's lines to be represented. Several of the manufacturers involved approached Mr.
Thatcher in hopes that he would continue to represent their equipment in the Fresno area. A short term partnership
was negotiated with Kearney Brothers, whose foundry had made many of the Kelly Moore Paint equipment castings and
Associated Compressor & Equipment, Inc. was born ! Our facility on Date Avenue in 1968. A year and a half later
we expanded the company and moved to a 5000 square foot facility on 4651 East Date Avenue. We continued to grow,
and added people to our staff; a mechanic who is still with us after 34 years, and then a salesman, Larry Powell.
Larry is now the Vice President. We soon expanded into the other half of the building, and purchased the property
20 years later.
Eventually, we were surrounded by Pacific Choice brands, who wanted to trade our building and property for a building
on Jensen Avenue, where we have been ever since. Throughout the years, business has been brisk. When we started
ACE there were 8 compressor houses in the area. Today, Associated Compressor & Equipment, Inc. is the largest
in the central part of the San Joaquin Valley, and only one local competitor remains in the area. We are committed
to maintaining our long-standing tradition of honesty, integrity and professionalism, while offering the best quality
products and services to our customers. Today, ACE stands ready to provide you with the best air compressor service
available in the area.
